Browser-local EDI processing

The EDI tools on toolsforedi.com run in your browser. Text you paste, files you open, parsed values, comparison inputs, redaction settings, and generated exports are processed in browser memory and are not intentionally transmitted to a toolsforedi.com application server. The site has no account system, document database, or EDI upload endpoint.

Your input can remain visible in the page until you clear it, refresh or close the tab, or navigate away. A file you download is saved through your browser to the destination you choose.

Website delivery data

Like any website, the hosting and network providers that deliver these static files can receive ordinary request information such as an IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent, and security or diagnostic data. This information is part of delivering and protecting the site; it is separate from the EDI text processed inside the tool form.

External services

The current site uses Cloudflare to serve its static assets and does not include advertising, analytics, social-media pixels, external fonts, or an AI API. Following a link to another website is subject to that website’s own practices.

Local files, clipboard, and downloads

A file is read only after you select it. Clipboard access occurs only when you choose a copy action and your browser permits it. Downloads are created locally from the visible result. Your browser, extensions, device management software, or operating system may separately observe or retain those actions.

Your choices

• Use synthetic or minimized data where possible.
• Clear the form or close the tab after working with sensitive material.
• Review browser extensions and device policies before handling regulated data.
• Do not assume browser-local processing alone satisfies your legal, contractual, or security obligations.
