Assumptions
- Transaction boundaries use ST/SE or UNH/UNT.
- Each output intentionally excludes outer interchange and group envelopes.
Limitations
- The tool does not rebuild standalone ISA/GS or UNB envelopes around extracted transactions.
- Unpaired start or end segments are errors and are not guessed through.

Questions about transaction splitter
Are ISA and GS copied into each split file?
No. Each result contains only its transaction boundary and content, so add required envelopes in the destination system.
Will control numbers be renumbered?
No. Original content and control references are preserved.
